Honorable Mention is an initiative with the explicit purpose of expanding the meaning of honor at the University of Virginia. We believe that honor has a more expansive narrative than the expressed tenets to not lie, cheat, or steal. We want to place the power in the hands of students to define how Honor manifests itself in our Community of Trust. We hope that you will help us to recognize members of our community that exemplify honorable behavior by nominating them in the form below. No story is too small or insignificant.
If you would like to share a story, please use the form below to submit the name, contact information, and a brief description (100 words or less) of how the nominee exemplifies Honor in his or her everyday life.
The Executive Committee of the Honor Committee will review submissions every two weeks and recognize individuals that have worked to further define what it means to live in the Community of Trust. If you have questions or want to learn more about Honorable Mention or about the Honor Committee, contact Vice Chair for Community Relations Isabelle Edwards.
