Honor is a thread that binds all UVA students together; this art competition seeks to illuminate this thread and its enduring values of integrity, respect, and accountability that have been the bedrock of the University community.
We invite fellow UVA students to express the historical or contemporary significance of our Community of Trust through diverse artistic mediums. What does a Community of Trust look like? How does our joint commitment to honor bind us? This student-organized competition will culminate in a display during Honor Week in early February, where our invisible thread of honor is brought to life through the creative visions of its students, encouraging a dialogue about the role of trust and integrity in our modern world.
The competition will be juried by the Honor Committee, a body of elected student representatives from each school. First place prize: $300.00. Runner-up prize: $200.00.
